Cynthia,

First off, the picture of the willow tree is sensational and I really admire the way that you wove it into your opening paragraph.

You obviously did a lot of reading about blogs, judging from all the links and comments you have posted. I am amazed that you subscribe to 40 blogposts - that's a lot of reading. I've heard of LM net and understand that it's an excellent TL site. It's probably one I should consider reading on a regular basis. What do you do with the information you learn from these blog posts? I sometimes bookmark sites but what do you do when you want to record the information you have learned?

Hi Cynthia,

Thanks for the interesting post about blogs as PD and how to find blogs that are useful and interesting to teachers and teacher-librarians.

You write:
"Teacher-librarians must “Subscribe to, and follow the blogs of leading thinkers in the school library world and the wider library world to engage in the conversation about these issues."

I think this is a really important point that those of us who work in or are interested in school libraries need to look beyond our own experiences and look at the work that is being done in other kinds of libraries to gain new ideas and different perspectives. I read Stephen Abrams' blog, for example, because he talks a lot about public and academic libraries and many of the things he writes about have implications for school libraries and teacher-librarians.
